Raw Brownies

I like Chocolate. I am female. I’ll quit repeating myself.

I also like to not chow down on refined ingredients and obscene amounts of sugar so, brownies, chocolate cake, chocolate syrup, and chocolate bars are rarely not always the answer.

These little bits of goodness hit the spot! No, they are not like eating a regular brownie, but I really see why they are called chocolate brownies. They have that rich, chocolately flavor, with a lovely little chew.

They’re sweet and very very chocolatey. Yep, chocolate. The are also naturally sweetened, chocolatey, full of nourishing nuts, chocolatey, full of dried fruit, chocolatey, dairy-free, chocolatey, gluten free, chocolatey, raw, chocolatey, ridiculously easy, and chocolatey.

Here’s what you need-

1 cup dates
1 cup raisins (or 2 cups dates)
1/4+ c raw walnuts (let them mound in the center a bit)
1/4 + c raw hazelnuts (or 1/2 cup walnuts)
5 T cocoa powder
1/4 c raw honey
pinch salt
butter or coconut oil

Process all the ingredients but the butter or coconut oil together in your food processor until you have a sticky glob of dried fruit mash. The fruit will be fairly obliterated, but there will still be noticeable chunks of nuts.

Press into a buttered, or coconut oiled, pan. Freeze for a bit to make the mixture more solid. Cut into squares. You can cut them into different shapes, but then you have to change the name. Store them in the fridge.

Eat. Enjoy. Repeat.
