What is The Veggie Book?

The Veggie Book is a comprehensive book all about VEGETABLES! Did you guess that?

Four moms (Sara from Your Thriving Family, Danielle from More Than Four Walls, Kayla from Renown and Crowned [developing editor] and me) have come together to give nutritional information, how to select the best quality, how to store it to maximize freshness, and common ways to serve vegetables. And most of all make them tasty!

We hope that we can encourage, inspire, and direct moms who want to give their family vegetables their whole family will enjoy.

For our first volume of The Veggie Book, we have chosen just 11 of our favorite veggies (and fruits, in botanical terms):

Each section includes basic nutritional info, how to select, basic prep and cooking information, common uses, and storage of each vegetable and then is followed by a handful of recipes featuring that vegetable. There are over 150 pages of vegetable information and delicious recipes in this book!

Sweet and Spicy Sausage and Veggies


The Veggie Book is a cookbook that I have been looking forward to reading for weeks now. Like many, I often find myself stuck in the same rotation when serving veggies: steamed broccoli, roasted brussel sprouts, and raw veggies with homemade ranch dip are the ones we see at our house over and over and over.
