She began to cry, starring at her pantry in dismay, when suddenly her Fairy Pantry Mother appeared.
There sat a quite yummy dip, where before there was just bare counter top.
Ok, I lie.
That did not really happen. Nor is the pictured dip pumpkin, it is butternut squash. But, you could use pumpkin, or butternut squash, or sweet potato easily, and this dip is so quick and easy you might think it really did appear out of nowhere.
Forgive the fabrication?
PST. I now have the cracker recipe I used with this published here.
- 1 cup pumpkin (butternut squash, acorn squash, or sweet potato) puree
- 1 cup apple butter (or another spiced fruit butter)
- Stir the fruit butter and puree together.
- Serve with crackers of choice or fruit.
You can add vanilla and a pinch of salt if you want something a little more dessert-y. I did not.
